The O-Shot (Orgasm Shot) is a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment designed for women to enhance sexual function.  The procedure involves applying a topical numbing cream, followed by injecting platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which contains growth factors derived from the patient’s own blood, into targeted areas of the vagina, particularly around the clitoris and the G-spot. The treatment aims to stimulate tissue regeneration, increase blood flow, improve vaginal lubrication, boost sensitivity, help with orgasmic potential, and alleviate issues like vaginal dryness, decreased libido, pain during intercourse, and urinary incontinence.

Benefits of O-Shot®

The O-shot offers a wide range of benefits for women’s sexual wellness. These include:
• Increased sensitivity and arousal: By stimulating the growth of new cells and increasing blood flow to the clitoris and G-spot, the O-shot can improve sensitivity and increase sexual pleasure.
• Improved orgasms: Many women report having more intense and longer-lasting orgasms after receiving the O-shot.
• Increased lubrication: The O-shot can also help with vaginal dryness by promoting the production of natural lubrication.
• Improved urinary incontinence: For women experiencing urinary incontinence, the O-shot can help strengthen pelvic floor muscles and improve bladder control.

The Procedure

During the O-Shot procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied for comfort, while a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm and spun in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) containing growth factors.   The PRP is then injected into specific areas of the vagina, including the clitoris and G-spot, using a thin needle. This stimulates the growth of new cells and increases blood flow to the area, resulting in improved sensitivity and sexual pleasure.

Results

Results from the O-shot can vary from person to person, but most women experience improvements in sexual function for up to 18 months after the initial treatment. Some may choose to receive a booster shot at the one-year mark to maintain their results.

What is The O-SHOT®?

The O-Shot® is a minimally invasive procedure that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your own blood, injected into the anterior vaginal wall and clitoral tissues, to address sexual function concerns—desire, arousal, lubrication, and orgasm, and urinary stress incontinence.

Who is a good candidate for The O-SHOT®?

Good candidates for The O-Shot® are women experiencing decreased sexual sensation, difficulty achieving orgasm, vaginal dryness, urinary incontinence, or reduced sexual satisfaction.  These issues often result from aging, hormonal changes, childbirth, or other factors affecting vaginal tissue health and blood flow.  Ideal candidates are generally in good overall health, seeking a non-surgical, medication-free way to enhance sexual function and comfort. A consultation with a healthcare provider helps determine if the O-Shot is appropriate based on individual anatomy, health, and goals.

What does a typical The O-SHOT® session involve, and is there downtime?

A typical O-Shot® session involves applying a topical numbing cream to the vaginal and clitoral areas for comfort.  A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm and spun in a centrifuge to isolate platelet-rich plasma (PRP).  The PRP is then injected into targeted areas of the vagina and around the clitoris, including the G-spot or O-spot, using a very thin needle.  The entire procedure usually takes about 20 to 60 minutes.

There is minimal to no downtime associated with the O-Shot®.  Most women experience little to no discomfort during the injections, usually described as mild pinching or cramping.  Some may notice minor swelling, bruising, or spotting for a day or two.  Most patients can resume normal activities, including sexual activity, shortly after the procedure.

Women often start to notice improved sensitivity and sexual function within days to weeks, with full benefits typically developing over 2 to 3 months.  Results can last 1 to 2 years or longer, with follow-up treatments recommended to maintain benefits

How many The O-SHOT® sessions will I need and when will I see results?

Typically, women receive one O-Shot® session initially, with the option to have a second session 12 weeks later if additional improvement is desired.  Some providers recommend maintenance treatments approximately every 12 to 18 months to sustain benefits.

Many women report an immediate increase in sexual desire and pleasure, but full results usually develop within about 3 months as new tissue growth and healing occur.  Benefits can last from 14 to 18 months or longer, depending on individual factors.

Are there side effects or reasons The O-SHOT® might not be right for me?

The O-Shot® is generally safe with few side effects because it uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood. Common side effects include mild pain or discomfort at the injection sites, temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness, spotting, and brief sensitivity. These usually resolve within a few days. Rare risks include infection or allergic reactions, especially to the numbing agent used during the procedure.

The O-Shot® might not be suitable for women with certain medical conditions such as blood disorders, active infections, or severe allergies. It is important to consult with a qualified healthcare provider to determine if the treatment is right for you, especially if you have underlying health issues.
