The P-Shot, also called the Priapus Shot, is an injectable therapy for male sexual wellness that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from the patient’s own blood.  The procedure involves application of a topical numbing agent, drawing blood, spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, and then injecting the PRP into the penile tissues.  The growth factors released by the platelets signal the body’s stem cells to promote tissue repair, regeneration, increased blood flow, and the growth of new blood vessels in the penis.

Who is a good candidate for The P-SHOT®?

What does a typical The P-SHOT® session involve, and is there downtime?

A typical P-Shot® session involves applying a topical numbing cream to the penile area, drawing a small sample of blood (usually from the arm), and spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The PRP is then injected into specific areas of the penis to promote tissue regeneration and increased blood flow. The entire procedure typically takes between 30 to 60 minutes.

There is minimal to no downtime after the procedure; most patients can resume normal daily activities and sexual activity within hours to a day. Mild swelling or bruising at injection sites may occur but usually resolves quickly.

How many The P-SHOT® sessions will I need and when will I see results?

Most men need between one and three P-Shot® sessions, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on the severity of their condition and their desired outcomes.  Mild cases or men seeking enhancement may see good results with just one session, while moderate to severe erectile dysfunction or Peyronie’s disease may require two to three sessions for optimal effect.

Results typically begin to appear within 3 to 4 weeks after treatment and can last 6 to 12 months or longer.  Follow-up or maintenance sessions every 12 to 18 months may help prolong benefits. Individual response varies based on factors like age, overall health, and lifestyle.

Are there side effects or reasons The P-SHOT® might not be right for me?

The P-Shot® generally has few and mild side effects since it uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood, minimizing allergic reactions or immune issues. Common side effects include minor redness, swelling, bruising, pain, or discomfort at the injection site. Rarely, infection can occur but is uncommon with sterile technique.

However, the P-Shot may not be suitable for men with certain blood disorders, active infections, or platelet dysfunctions.
