Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation (EBOO) in Albuquerque, NM

Advanced Blood Oxygenation, Filtration, and Ozone Therapy

Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation, or EBOO, filters a significant portion of your blood outside the body, infuses it with medical-grade ozone, and exposes it to full-spectrum light before returning it to your system. The process treats roughly 2 liters of blood per session, about half of an average adult’s blood volume, which is why it’s designed to work in fewer sessions than standard UVB blood treatments. At Enhanced Wellness NM, we offer EBOO in Albuquerque as one of our ozone therapy options for patients interested in supporting circulation, immune function, and the body’s detoxification pathways.

What Is EBOO?

EBOO combines two therapies in a single session: ozone blood therapy and photobiomodulation (full-spectrum light exposure). During treatment, a dry dialysis filter removes certain compounds from your blood. Your blood is then infused with ozone and exposed to full-spectrum light before it’s returned to your body.

Blood Draw and Filtration

A portion of your blood, about 2 liters, is drawn and passed through a dry dialysis filter that removes certain inflammatory compounds before treatment continues.

Ozone Infusion and Light Exposure

Your filtered blood is infused with medical-grade ozone and exposed to full-spectrum light during the process.

Return and Recovery Monitoring

Your treated blood is returned to your body, and your provider monitors you afterward before you leave your session.

frequently asked questions

What does a session feel like?

You will be seated comfortably while blood is drawn, filtered, treated, and returned through an IV line, similar to a blood donation or dialysis session. The full process typically takes longer than a standard IV treatment because of the volume of blood involved.

How often you need sessions depends on your specific goals and how your body responds. Your provider will recommend a schedule based on your individual case.

This is an intensive procedure, and your provider will review your full health history, including any bleeding disorders, cardiovascular conditions, or other risk factors, before determining candidacy. As with any blood-based IV procedure, there are risks that your provider will discuss with you directly as part of informed consent. This treatment is not FDA-approved for any specific medical condition.

Pricing depends on your treatment plan and the number of recommended sessions. Our team can provide current pricing during your consultation.

Consult Your Provider Regarding Your Options
